Yes. About a 700 foot jacket. I bet you were at the celebration at GIF when they hung the bunting on the tower and Patrick Taylor made speeches.

To understand the scale of oil money Taylor energy (Phyllis is her first name) gave the feds nearly $500mil to settle the MC20 spill.

So many pages and myself included, we forgot to mention Ruth Fertel creator of the Ruth’s Chris Streak House chain.
She passed in 2002, but she deserves to fit on this list since she built a small New Orleans restaurant into a national brand.

I was standing there when Alec Gifford interviewed Pat on camera. Alec asked about that stupid graphic Taylor had that showed MC21 was taller than the Empire State Building. It included the rig derek AND the piles. When Alec fumbled the question Pat grabbed Alec’s hand that held the microphone, pulled it to him and said, “It makes the Empire State Building look like a stump!”

Taylor Energy was a client of ours at that time, and I remember the employees telling us that after Pat died, Phyllis was renting a Gulfstream Jet while she was having a brand new Gulfstream built to suit with a private sleeping cabin, etc.
