I've decided that taking the kids to Disney world has become the equivalent of meeting your hero.

Agreed, I’m willing to overlook the huge run in her hose to offer mine to her.

Yes, we are leaving on the 26th and not coming home until March 6th. My wife went when she was a kid once, but this is the first time for me and the kids.

They should sell Disney themed Mardi Gras crap. The lines would be wrapped around the park to get it

At least go to Universal for their Mardi Gras celebration.

Also, why aren't you staying at Port Orleans? It's literally the only place at Disney that does anything for Mardi Gras.

Wilderness lodge has a neat place to sit and have a drink. It's not far from Grand Floridian, which has the best bar in all of Disney. These are the things that I like to do.

?? let me make my Joe Burrow, Cincinnati chili first, but wearing Mardi Gras shirts at Disney would be like wearing Mickey Mouse or any other Disney shirt on Mardi Gras day on St. Charles. You would look a little foolish ??.

What's a baseline estimate of what it costs now?
For a week or however long is standard/ Family of 4. I'm gonna say $5,000.

Does Disney hire actors to act drunk and spill beer all over you to complete the experience. Maybe get robbed going back to the car "ride".

Well, considering your odds of getting robbed and shot at Disney compared to New Orleans, it makes far more sense to go to Disney for Mardi Gras.

I'd rather risk getting shot at mardi gras than going to Disney.

Waiting another year but I heard the having to pay for rides and no fast passes is a complete shite show. The Wilderness lodge is the definitely the place to stay! It has a great outdoor bar with excellent food.

What if you were able to go to gulf shores for 3 days where a Carnival Cruise ship will then come pick you up and bring you to Disney??

Gonna say more like 8 if you do it "right" IMO. Stay somewhere at least moderate and eat a few sit downs. I would budget $1k a day and a little more if we were flying.

After lodging and tickets, a family of four can scrimp by on $100 a day. $300 a day of “blow” money is a nice trip.

But it’s possible to spend $500+ a day if you’re a fatty that has two table service meals a day.

Staying off property, you can find deals at decent places for around $150 a day. Any less gets pretty cheesy.

Undercover tickets can save you a few bucks but the more days you get, the lower each day is. You have to find your comfort level.

Going for 7 nights with a 5 day pass is very sensible. Gives you a couple of rest days.

We will be there. No, I don’t want to meet up and greet because I will be with my family
