I'd say GMFS, but you may not want to change your life. They really pressure you to change your life. I'm happy with my life and don't want it changed so I went with Assurance. They just wanted to help me with a mortgage.

Assurance Financial. Tim Dubnansky. I'll never use anyone else. The guy is awesome to work with.

I used assurance. Have a good friend in management, but the mortgage guy was John Patton. Overall good experience.... Was sold prolly 1-3 months in to Jefferson financial. I work with a lot of mortgage people/companies and I'd lean towards assurance. Don't care for the way GMFS handles itself. I'm sure most of their mortgage folks are good people, but when you speak with their office it feels like I'm dealing with someone who thinks their shite don't stink....

Standard mortgage has the lowest rates and fees when I quoted out last week. I also like Iberia bank and assurance.

Looking for someone that is easy to get a hold of and friendly. Smaller company preferred.

I used America's Mortgage Resource for my last 2 home purchases and was very happy with the service I received.

Why did I get 4 downvotes for that?

Are they bad? seriously. I thought they were reputable small company.

Scott McNulty with Regions Mortgage. Straight shooter and a Tiger fan regardless of his company's affiliation.

I have used Standard twice, best rates each time. As has been said before, I did receive notice that my mortgage had been sold, but Standard is still the servicing entity. Nice to be able to call up someone in New Orleans when I had a question.
