The idiot you are responding to is being totally intellectually dishonest. The War on Drugs has very little to do with the protest and has absolutely zero ties to the recent controversial police shootings (Brown, Martin, Sterling, Floyd, etc.).

Whether you like him or not for football reasons, Tom Brady will never participate in some bullshite like that. I am/was (I don't know anymore) a huge Saints fan, but Tom Brady get the most respect from me personally. More black players get my respect than white players, because there are more of them with common sense than apologetic white guilt frick boys.

This all started as a display of a lack of respect for the flag. Kaepernick stated, "I'm not going to stand up to show pride in a flag..."
Kaepernick claims he started kneeling because the cops shot Mario Woods. Mario Woods stabbed an innocent man. Cops arrived. He wouldn't drop the knife. Cops used pepper spray and bean bag rounds. He still wouldn't drop the knife. He started walking towards a cop while still holding the knife. That's when he got shot.

I truly would not mind if they knelt before the kickoff. Don’t tell me it’s not about the flag or the anthem if you kneel during the anthem.
