Did you even ask why she felt the need to move the money if it's going to be divided equally in the divorce? Does she have reason to believe you would spend/hide it first? Do you have reason to believe she's not being truthful her intentions?

Wait till OP realizes she's getting half of his retirement, too.

Half all his assets, all of what she already stole, and he has to pay her attorneys fees, and then pay her spousal support.

Oh, and that family heirloom that the OP is going to be sentimental about that's worth about $500? When they're in the negotiations for "equitable" division of the property, the ex is going to claim that the heirloom is worth somewhere near the GDP of California, but she'll be the bigger person and be willing to accept only her half of the GDP of California in cash for it and let the OP keep the heirloom because it means something to him.

And the judge will buy it.

Are you telling me that when you realized this D was about to go down, you just left the money there? Give me a ballpark as to how much we're talking about. If its like $800 or some shite I'm going to beat myself for reading this thread.

Uber to her place, find her keys, and take her car. When she gives you you money back, she gets the car back. This is not legal advice!

Question is, can she cry on cue? If so, grab your ankles and walk backwards into the court room.

I don't know but I do know that I wouldn't be as nonchalant about the situation as OP is.

Screw that joint account shite. That's just asking for trouble. Did the OP ever say if he and the wife contributed to the account or was he doing all the lifting?
