As someone above said, don't try to be nice about it. She already made the first move and can't be trusted hear on out. I made the same mistake, tried to be civil and it backfired. It worked out in the end but was a major hassle.
Get the bank statements where she took it and bring to your lawyer.
Document everything. I saved every text between us and got an app that recorded our phone conversations. Recording conversations was big. She would say stuff thinking there was no proof it and it came back to bite her in the arse.

I think what they are saying is that it is very difficult to take back money once it is removed from a joint account. Even with an MDA, it may could be very difficult to "prove" that it was done outside of the agreement in question.
Hindsight, it would have been better just to take your half when you knew divorce was inevitable.
I know you said you would speak to your attorney tomorrow. Please follow up on that and get full legal advice on EVERYTHING you should do from now on until the divorce is finalized.
Speak to him about the money issue, I am not familiar with MDA but hopefully you have something in writing regarding the funds.
Divorce brings out the worst in people and the best way to handle it is to treat your ex as your enemy. That's the only mindset that will work in most cases. And if she took the money out without recourse that is a very bad sign on the type of person your facing.
This is one the reasons I am afraid to get married. The irony is that the OT targets blacks for not marrying, then this happens

Use apps if on cellphone. The are also audio recorders you can get for your home phones as well. Texts and emails should be kept for every interaction.
It sounds obsessive, but little things like that can make a big difference.

I was referring to Blacks as racial/ethnic group. I was not saying that the OP was black.
I have never been a race-baiter. Most of my threads have been on cooperation between races.

Yes, you should be worried. More than likely, a judge will make her return the money. That could take months though. You should've just split it before she had the chance to do that. Gotta protect yourself.
