Probably because Donnie didn't get thrown in jail for attempted murder at age 16. Mark is ashamed of his past and probably sees the name "Marky Mark" as part of the blemish on his soul from those days. He is a devout Catholic now after all. He devotes an hour of his day to prayer and attends mass every single day as well.

Even though I am a Mark as well and have been called Marky Mark pretty much since that dipshite started singing with the Funky Bunch, I got to go with the brother Mark on this one. He boxes, plays golf, and lifts which is all the shite I am into as well. If he did jiu jitsu, he might be my hero, but I doubt he has the time to train that on top of everything else he is into.
He also gets points for me for playing a SEAL even though he is the exact opposite of Marcus Luttrell.
