There was a Double Feature a few years back Death Proof that had an intermission, only one I've seen.

Fiddler on the Roof was re-released in the theaters several times in the earlier years. This is how it was done with movies before the home video days. Gone With The Wind, Dirty Harry, Sound of Music…they all went on re-releases, then disappeared until coming out in the dollar theater, then home video.
