Who on here goes to dog shows?

Do you breed dogs? For the entertainment?
Walked past NRG center tonight and the place was jam packed with dogs and their handlers/owners.
Never been myself but it was fun seeing some of the dogs out back on piss breaks.

You will see some of the most despicable human behavior at a dog show... at least the 5 minutes I have watched on TV of one.
Nasty people putting dog treats in their mouth.
People putting their hands on a dogs a-hole to hold the tail up.

Back in the late 70’s & early 80’s my dad use to show Weimaraners , beagles, and whippets. One of our whippets went to Westminster, won best of breed, best of group, and finished 4th overall in the show. When I was around 8-10 yrs old I showed several of our dogs in the junior / kids division. Haven’t been to a dog show in years but still watch the Westminster show when it comes on tv. Nowadays dog owners send their dogs to a professional handler who shows them. The top handlers make 6 figures

Former manager did. She was obsessed. Would go to training 3 days a week. She would usually get 2nd place in all the shows she went to. It was a ton of work.
