Think you missed the boat here.

It's not about being scared, it's about being efficient with your time.

You know you can have it delivered to your door... you don't even need to put on pants anymore.

I am pretty picky about the vegetables I select, so i can't fully relinquish that to someone else's judgment. It would make sense if everything you get is pre-packaged, but that ain't me.

We've used the curbside pickup from the Walmart Grocery (not a supercenter) about a dozen times now.

Don't get meat or produce from there, but we don't buy meat and produce from WalMart very much anyways. Try to go to local places for that.

The service works really well. You "check-in" on the app when you leave your house or prior stop, and it knows where you are and how long it will take you to get there.

Pull up in the spot and within 2-3 minutes they come out and bring your stuff out. They use A LOT of bags.

The only real issue, and I think this is more of a Walmart issue as opposed to an online ordering issue, is without fail, they are out of several items every time. They will sometime offer a comparable item, which you can accept or reject.

For example, last time, we ordered a large box of Cheerios, they were out but gave us two smaller boxes. I accepted that.

They also were out of one type of sauce, and they offered another brand of sauce. I rejected that one as I did not like the other brand.

We use Kroger click-list where you park and they bring your online order and it is fricking awesome.

Saves all the items you ordered in the past so once you've done it a couple of times most of your items are ready for you to just click on. You can shop in a couple of minutes online. Then drive to the store at designated time park and leave within 5 minutes. It literally gives us an hour or two back every week. That's like a couple of full work weeks a year in time to do other shite.

I use the Kroger Click-List twice a month. I put in my order in the morning, pick it up on my way home from work, and still make it home only 5-10 minutes later than I normally would. It's amazing and I highly recommend it to everyone.

My wife does. She loves it. They occasionally screw things up when swapping items for those they don't have, but heck, I screw half the list up when she asks me to go grocery shopping.

I order my groceries and have them delivered. Also, have laundry service; pick up, wash, fold, and deliver. It gives hours back to our lives on a weekly basis. Well-worth it IMO

Cold and Flu season: the fewer people you contact, the reduced risk.

Do you really want to buy a box of aspirin in an isle where almost everyone else has lingered reading boxes of flu remedies?

I actually like grocery shopping.

Used Instacart once and definitely see the appeal though.

I wouldn’t even let someone else go to Walmart for me. I’m not that cruel.

Walmart online pickup is awesome! They are very nice and organized. I have had no issues at the O’Neal lane location, but the one in Denham Springs messed up my order. This saves me so much time, and I never have to enter Walmart.

Just imagine how times change...

Ironically, the Times Pic ran a photo gallery of Schwegmans Stores today. In one of the old photos preshopping cart days, you can see all the groceries were located behind the counter. You had to ask for everything or call in your order.

I guess we are pretty much headed back to those days with online shopping and pickup.
