Could t say what he makes but he owns a company that makes industrial and transportation equipment cleaning fluids. Also has minority ownership in a lot of businesses he helped start financially. He is 38 and never went to college. I just know some of the stuff he has and none of it is financed LOL.

20 acres with a 4 house compound on Grand Turk
Quad engine Yellowfin at that location
Lear Jet (07)
House in Alys Beach
House on Mobile Bay with another quad engine Yellowfin
House on Lake Martin with a $200k Ski Nautique
Bought a $140k fifth wheel this summer with cash on a whim
A watch collection with I don’t know how many but he has a $50k Rolex and a $200k Richard Mille McClaren that I have put on my own wrist
A crazy gun and rifle collection that I would estimate is well over $150k
A 10,000 sq foot metal building with his car classic car collection. I counted 32 the day I checked out his collection.
Properties (acreage) all over the USA. Big parcels from 100-2500. He wants to develop into hunting lodges.
Probably a bunch of other stuff I don’t even know about.

And he knows that he is small fries compared to real billionaires. He is probably somewhere in the 250mill-500mill. I asked him when he was going to get the 150ft yacht and he said that is a sizable level up from him.

Uncle, was a designer of airplanes/parts and has over 40 active patents. Started With General Dynamics as Chief design engineer. Still pretty active at 95, but his wealth with stock and all his companies, one he sold for 5 Billion, is incredible. Hope I’m still on good terms when he checks out...

This is the second time I’ve seen his name come up this. He has great land on the red and shoots on his range almost every Saturday.

and how often is this situation the "richest self-made person you know?". probably pretty low.

He's not self made but I am friends with a member of a famous British family.

He is loaded. Nine figures to the left of the decimal net worth. He is a man of excellent character. Very down to Earth for a person from an aristocratic British family.

Guy I went to school with is a very good business man. He owns multiple businesses. He is worth many millions. His Dad owned a TV repair shop. So, he didn't grow up rich.

Man I know built a manufacturing business from literally nothing. He knew how to weld and built it into a machine shop that ventured into earth moving.

He was a friend of my grandfather’s. He once told my grandfather, “I rode into this town with nothing but my motorcycle, the clothes on my back, and horrible attitude. I wouldn’t have hired myself.”

No idea what he’s worth. Wouldn’t shock me if it’s 50+ million. I know some folks that have built an inheritance to more, or just inherited more outright, but this guy’s a true self made man.

I was close with the daughter of a prominent Milwaukee real estate developer back in the day. She drove a Lincoln Navigator in high school. I have no clue what that family's worth now but they make the news every few years by making seven-figure donations to various charities in the area.

The daughter became a lawyer, and daddy built a building in downtown Milwaukee where her law firm is now located. She has a corner office overlooking Lake Michigan.

My dad's high school buddy. Guy didn't go to college. Was really into classic Chevy trucks and got into the business of making the repo'd parts. Now basically 75% of the repo parts for old Chevy trucks are produced by him. One of the nicest and most down to earth people you'd ever want to meet. Nobody would ever guess he makes money hand over fist.

I have a friend that owns his own gym small place like 1000 sq ft. Just got some racks and barbells and dumbbells and a couple of machines. Named his place ole school strength. He has enough members to pull in a good 40-50 grand a year. After over head he probably makes 30-36 grand. Straight up told me he rather make 30 grand a year with no boss than 90 grand with a boss. Can’t blame him honestly.

I'm with you. I have no idea how much money ANY of my friends make. My parents taught me that it is impolite to enquire about such things.

This will get downvoted to hell here, I know, but the honest truth is It’s beneficial to talk about it. Don’t be scared baws , people like giving advice from personal experience
