Was watching Tulane practice at Saints facility. Joe Montana walked up next to me and we talked for a few minutes. Probably one of the few times I was star struck by an athlete.

Joe Buck is a douche.

Mike Tirico and John Gruden were probably the most down to earth guys to speak with.

One of my cousins was his psychiatrist while Joe was playing. He said Joe was a nice guy.

Right around the time Season 1 of Treme was shooting me and my g/f met Steve Zahn at a Mardi Gras parade on St. Charles. We had no idea he was shooting anything down here. We literally hung with him and his daughter casually all afternoon when my g/f told him "You remind me of that actor Steve Zahn." He replied, "The dude from Saving Silverman? That guy is a douche!" We shrugged and went about our afternoon. That night it was on the news that Steve was going to be in a Mardi Gras parade the next day. The news interviewed him and it was the dude we were hanging with.

Met Ric Flair at the old Bonano's on Airline Hwy back in 1998. He was in town for a signing session with WCW. He was incredibly nice and approachable. He signed every autograph requested and stopped his dinner several times to pose for pictures.

He was at the next table and was ripping through bottles of wine with a couple of older dudes. Later in the evening, when he was good and hammered,he did the "woooooo!" really loudly. My girlfriend at the time wondered why me and my brother pumped our fists when it happened.

I think every dude in the place was waiting for it.

Sat next to Spike Lee on a flight back from NYC. He was wearing head phones and obviously didn't want to talk. This lady in her 50s walks up to him while plane is still loading and waves at him and he takes off his head phones. She says hi, aren't you Spike Lee? He nodded and she started talking about his "documentary" When the Levies Broke and about how he interviewed her mother for one of the pieces. He smiled and started to thank her, and that's when she called him a fricking a-hole liar and that he twisted and edited her mothers words. She then walked back to her seat before he could even respond. It was hilarious and he didn't look up the rest of the flight.

Jesse Jackson I flew several times and liked him. Didn't agree with a word he said politically, but visited several times and talked about a lot of different subjects on which I enjoyed the visit and his company. It would be easier to say he was this or that, but one on one from my experience was a good dude.

David Vitter tool
John Breaux cool
Lynn Cheney cool
Hilary Clinton cool
Ann Richards tool
other politypes I've flown

Will Smith - he was filming iRobot in Vancouver back in 2003 I believe. I was chaperoning kids from a summer camp and he was really nice to everyone.
