The dirty little secret is that on a big explosion or serious case like that the advertising lawyers refer the case to the great trial lawyers but take their shitty cut.
I was thinking this is what it would be like for any big or technical case. The billboard attorneys don't know how to handle stuff like that.

know Mark. He's a good guy, but this sounds a lot like an adertizment to me. Someone owes chicken some $$ for this.
Lol I’m just giving my opinion based on experience. Mark’s not a billboard guy, but is very good at what he does.

I know that. I just don't think he's trying big cases very often or if ever.

Billboard lawyers are mostly shady businessman with law degrees then actual lawyers. They make their money on referrals and quantity, not quality. They make their money from their referrals of clients to lawyers that actual do the work for the harder cases, and by throwing their money around on the slam dunk cases.
It’s not even talking shite, financially they kill it.

Ehh, there are some capable billboard attorneys, but trying big cases is just not their business model. They are 100% quantity. Those big cases generally require a ton of sunk costs and can take years before a resolution. That’s not what these billboard mills are looking for.

Walters Papillion seemed like a good firm when I was at LSU

The billboard mills have a dozen or more case managers that work up every minimum policy to $100k policy case before trial. A decent number of attorneys to draft auto petitions and pick up the phone when the adjuster calls. Refer everything that requires experts and real litigation out to the small firms.

They have one on the Poli Board. He's borderline retarded but with all the L's he takes he stays in good spirits.

The old man died several years ago from cancer. He was very good at his profession. He represented clients involved in the PanAm flight that crashed in Kenner, and the Luling ferry disaster in the mid 70’s.
His son DBIII has been suspended multiple times for misappropriation of trust accounts and Fk’ing a client in his office
His license was reinstated last year.

Is that 1/2 of what is/used to be the DeSalvo & DeSalvo law firm?
Back in the early-mid 2000’s they had an ad in the BR yellow pages that looked like they were two mean MF’rs. Never had a reason to meet them, but I used to LOL at that ad.

My ex handled large commercial liability claims for Aetna back in the 80/90's in Houston. She LOVED negotiating with any law firm that advertised on TV. Easiest to dupe because their business model was handle as many cases and profit by volume. Their paralegals handled everything not in court, including negotiation.
