Mine is my MIL.

She just hung up the phone with my wife after screaming at her for going to the Target and Home Depot today.

Further, she is the one who last week bought 296 rolls of toilet paper.

She's been sending us Coronavirus article links about 3X a day.

I am the weirdo about germs in my family
For some reason this hasn’t made me paranoid at all
I went to WalMart for flowers to plant this morning, visited with the neighbors & went out to dinner tonight

Quite the opposite for me. My MIL laughs/scoffs when I advise to wash hands often while in my home. Thinks my hand sanitizer on kitchen counter is just silly me.

You are a lobster. She's got a point. What do lobsters know about hand sanitizer.

I called everyone in my immediate family to stock up because it was coming a few weeks ago. They asked if I was scared and I said no I just wanted to be prepared and suggested they do the same.

They thought I was fear mongering, I wasn’t and now they wish they would have listened.

Stock up on what? Toilet paper?

They wished they would have listened why? Are they out of toilet paper?

It ain't just toilet paper any more, baw. Stores are getting wiped out on food.

Should recover in a few weeks I assume once everyone is stocked up. But who knows.

My dad isn't exactly scared, more of a morbid fixation.

My family is remarkably level headed.

Talked to my mother and father today, separately, and both said they just turned off the news last week since nothing good would come from watching it.

Guess it's their backgrounds.

Father was a military brat when a deployment meant he didn't see his father for 2-3 years at a time. No Skype. No phone. Just letters.

Mother was the daughter of a farmer. I guess dealing with real privation because there was a drought one spring/summer gives you a fatalistic take on the world.

If bad shite is going to happen, it's going to happen and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

My dumbass sister in law. She reads my posts and will see this too. ya crazy arse.

She freaked out to my mom today when she saw me check in with the kids on Facebook at the Grand Wall Buffet in Gonzales. My mom calls me 30 min later, "what are you doing at a CHINESE buffet with the kids?"

I said "we were eating lunch and [insert sil name] can eat a dick because I know she saw the Facebook post and told you." If yall know me, you know I actually said that to my sweet ole maw.

Be thankful you have people in your family that worry and you’re not alone like I am. It. Is very depressing spending Thanksgiving and Christmas alone

Everyone I’ve talked to has been calm. Family and friends.

I have two space cadet siblings who get into internet conspiracy theories all the time, and I have no interest in talking to them right now.
