Curt Henning and Ric Rude. They both weee excellent workers and knew how to make their opponents look great in the ring

Ted Dibiase, his character in WWE may have hidden much of his ring skill but back in the MidSouth/UWF days he was great in the ring.
Dean Malenko was also damn good in the ring.

Do you mean technically good or performing, selling it, etc?

Mick Fowley never gets the credit he deserves. I think he is at least one of the best.

Mick Foley gets bonus points for his willingness to do whatever sells the match including risking his life.

Thus the word PERFORMER in the original post.

I think you first have to define what you mean. To me, it's not only the crowd reactions and athletic ability but how good were they at carrying a match? It's one thing to have two wrestlers capable of carrying a match facing off against one another, it's another thing to have them be good enough
to carry a match with someone truly horrible like Mabel.
There are a lot of them, but I think Angle and HBK should be at the top of every list. They were both insanely proficient at working crowds as either faces or heels and could carry a match with anyone well enough to make their opponent look worthwhile, regardless of their opponent's skill level.

Stone Cold Steve Austin, aka The Rattle Snake.
No one came close to him, especially the 'feuds' between him and Vince McMahon were golden.
Then there was The Undertaker, Dude Love(Man Kind, Mick Foley...) Roddy Piper, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, Hacksaw Jim Dugan, JYD, Romans Reigns, Triple H, Ted Debiase...
Biggest overrated 'stars' in WWE history, Hulk Hogan, Dewayne 'The Rock' Johnson, John Cena, CM Punk

HBK, Scott Hall, Benoit. Gotta give Mysterio his due. Did y'all know Chris Jericho was 3-0 against Goldberg?
