I'm sure every OT'er is ready to handle this without any training.

Why does it always feel like a headwind both ways when you get on the south side of the river?

That is actually a very fun race that is well run. There isn't any boating traffic during the swim leg. The bike is an out and back that goes around to the opposite side of the river and back. The run goes the opposite direction of the bike through a neighborhood and back.

It is. I think it rained last year though. Maybe thinking of a different year though.

I can't remember if it was La Tri on Freedom fest but one race there got rained out last year. There was a chance of rain all morning then they delayed the start, I was taking cover at the church when the finisher chute collapsed, I saw my bike fly off the rack.

All I could do was laugh.

I haven’t done that race in years, but I’ve done it several times and it is a very fun race. You have to be prepared for the headwind on the bike. It also used to have good swag. Would recommend.
