Michael Jackson is a must. Probably Arnold too.

Maybe Stallone. I think Hogan is an underrated pick. Madonna is solid.

Edit: Mike Tyson. Cindy Crawford. Eddie Murphy

Bo Jackson. His commercials and “the throw”
(And of course all his athletic accomplishments).

Was thinking about who absolutely exemplifies the 80s,

Ronald Reagan, Joe Montana, Michael J. Fox, Hulk Hogan.

I think Reagan is a lock. I can’t think of any person in my lifetime who is so closely associated with one decade. Every day of his presidency was in the ‘80s and his bravado is so closely associated with the increase in patriotism of that decade.

You might be the first person in the entire history of the world to draw a comparison b/w Molly Ringwald and James Dean. Almost like you recently just discovered Dean and decided you were gonna insert his name into any thread you started. Honestly, that's like comparing oranges to Pluto.

Reagan (was President almost the whole decade)
Michael Jackson (top pop star the whole decade)
Sylvester Stallone (Rambo/Rocky movies)
Princess Diana (constantly on the news the whole decade)

Man I loved me some Tyson, but I dont know. Seemed later 80s but I guess it counts. Nothing to do with politics but its hard to leave Reagan out. The dude was everywhere and had his own culture. Can Larry Bird and Magic be one submission? I remember that being a pretty big deal. Its funny now that I think about it how popular Mr T was. I think a sneaky pick is Christy Brinkley.
