went to this place once, oddly enough it was called "The Hilton," believe me it was not what I was expecting, certainly didn't want any of those points either

He was coming home from a LSU game and got a DUI and got brought to the prison he worked at.
Was that not incredibly dangerous for him?

“violated” probation from a DUI I got in high school. I certainly wasn’t innocent but it was pretty circumstantial. the judge must have been in a bad mood because he wanted to send me in for 10 days. only ended up with 7. it was right around christmas and I think day 8 would’ve christmas eve so he cut it short
my 17 year old self was mortified, but I got placed in a cell with 4 other white dudes, 2 of them college graduates who were in for the same reason I was. it could’ve been infinitely worse

Post LSU vs MSU 2009 in Starkville. Fell asleep in the back of the wrong pickup. It was frowned upon. Spent ~6 hours in Oktibbeha County lockup and plead guilty to Public Intoxication. Not my finest moment. shite sucked, won't be going back.

jail/prison
There’s a big difference between these two. I’m willing to bet at least 1/3 have been to jail, but less than 1/50 have been to prison.

I bet there's a lot here that did one night or several hours but not long enough to drop the soap. I bet there's some here that will volunteer to drop the soap

I got stuck in a prison for a few days because they really don't have jails here.

Thirty years ago I got into a fight and spent 23 days in jail because my dad wouldn't bail me out. The first couple days I was in a room with about a 100 other guys and we were ordered to stay on our cots besides to go to the restroom.
After a couple days my name was called and told to gather my stuff. I thought I was getting out, but I soon found out I was being moved to another jail, which catered to the more violent dudes. I didn't know until later that my future brother in law worked at that jail as a deputy and he pulled strings and put me in a wing that he and his buddies could watch.
Never been more scared then when I got to the new jail when they locked me in without 12 ganger banger types. I was a white college kid who had never even had a ticket before.
We played Monopoly, chess and dominoes to pass the time. Mostly everyone talked about their charges. Mostly drugs, but one guy for murder. The food was horrible until I requested a diet for those with high blood pressure. Cells locked at 9 besides on weekends, when it was midnight. One tv, no cable.
As far as I knew there was no sex, but one night I did smell drugs so there was obviously smuggling going on. Wednesday's were the big day of the week because of commissary.
I did come close to getting into a fight because one of my cellies(4 bunks a cell) was messing with another cellies(shower) belongings so I told him to stop. The dude who ran the wing came in and put a stop to it. Said I don't bother nobody so he aint letting nobody bother me. When the cellie came back from the shower he was grateful I had stood up for him. He was a scary dude so the other guys in the wing were fine with me.
When a guy would be called to pack up to head to prison the other guys were ruthlessly mean. One day I was called and told charges were dropped. As I was leaving one dude screamed that if he ever sees me again he would frick me in the arse. I never fought again. Scared straight.

You know how I know you’re full of shite?
You don’t get put in a “cell with 4 other white dudes” if you’re in gen pop.

3 nights in a small county jail for driving under suspension in my trashy days. I'll never forget a a old homeless man in my cell who said he was passing through the town and remembered he had a warrant so he turned himself in. He just wanted a place to relax and eat until spring lol, it was right around Valentine's Day.

Sounds like you could’ve complied and avoided the last two visits

Spent 45 days between BRPP, Catahoula, then back to BRPP but in the back.
Court shite got mixed up and I missed a court date so there was a warrant out for me. A friend was pulled over for a light issue and the cop informed me about the warrant. I was shocked when the judge the next morning said 90 days in parish prison. Go to court kids no matter what.

MIP first week of college in Opelike County, Alabama. Spent just a few hours there. Knew no one and had to call a bondsman to bail me out. There were two other frat guys, and one guy who had frequent flier miles with the bondsman and got bailed out for less money than me.

Spent about 4 hours in a cell when I got arrested with 1.5 pounds of marijuana on me ( I used to sell to my friend in college so I was just a delivery boy with a fee)
I just beat the case and had all charges dropped after 3 years in court
