4.0 and 33 Act the black kid gets to go to Harvard for free and the white kid gets to rack up student loans at a state school.

Those numbers can find a free ride or very nearly a free ride at a very respectable public university, regardless of race or gender. I know that for a fact.

Attitude trumps everything else, and parents instill that more than any other source.

If you grew up with parents telling you that you could accomplish anything if you worked hard enough and taught you to persist through difficulty, you’ll probably do alright.

If your parents told you that no matter how hard you try, The Man will keep you down and the system is rigged against you, you probably won’t try hard at anything.

AAs in higher education as well as the workplace?

Yea at places like McDonalds, CVS, Wal Mart and maybe some plants. These people are not getting jobs at Goldman Sachs, any of the big three, most major tech firms though.

They don't. No one can possibly bekueve they've got the same opportunities.

One is a member of the majority race and one isn't. Whites own over 80% of business with at least 1 employee. Even if zero owners are prejudicial, you're still more likely to hire someone who looks like you than someone who doesn't. It's a simple fact.

Can it be fixed? Probably not, but let's stop acting like there are equal opportunities when it's not true.

Depends. Am I a poor black kid in a white neighborhood or a poor white kid in a black neighborhood?

Did you grow up in SE Louisiana? White children growing up poor in my neck of the woods isn’t something out of the norm.

Discrimination isn’t going anywhere but if you think it only effects blacks then you’re fooling yourself.

Whether you are white or black, poor is poor. Why would a white kid be a bit of an outsider to his peers? The poor white kid's peers are likely other poor white kids.

In reality, I think people get race and class confused. Poor uneducated people commit more crimes.

10% of white kids live in poverty, in the US, which is 4.2M. 33% of black kids in the US live in poverty, which is 3.6M.

There are a lot more white people on welfare than black people... But white people make up 77% of the population.

But again, poor is poor.

The poor black kid in a white neighborhood is most likely popular due to his athletic skills.

Which kid's family loves them less and is less supportive?

That one has it harder.

So there are no programs in this country geared toward the advancement of AAs,exclusively?

You said the black kid has more opportunity. That's unequivocally false.

ETA - put it this way - how many white people do you know who wish they were black due to the opportunities?

My point is if the opportunity is there take advantage of it don’t waste it or complain it’s not enough

As a poor white kid growing up in a predominantly black school because mom couldn’t afford private, I contradict your point. I had zero advantages, zero.

Black people do nepotism as well. shite, they even do business solely based on race. Look at what ppl like Gravy preach, BET, etc.
Furthermore, the Constitution is supposed to prohibit racial discrimination which Affirmative Action is clearly.
While wrong, there's nothing illegal/unconstitutional about nepotism.
