Growing up my dad always handled it, and I have taken up the torch in my own marriage, but I have heard recently that it's usually the women who do so.

That is such a foreign concept to me as my wife has no clue what is in any of our accounts at any given minute, or what bills are due when

I do. My wife wants nothing to do with it. It stresses her out.

I do, but I am not opposed to her wanting to share in the responsibility.

Nonetheless, for the most part, we do discuss big ticket purchases beforehand. So there is communication which is what is most important.

We handle it together. My wife is a CPA. Not including her is just stupid.

I take care of the finances but keep my wife in the loop and teach her as we go. The last thing you want to do is leave your wife and kids having to figure out how to pay the bills, where you keep money, and everything else if you were to die.

My wife is an accountant. She handles it. I haven't logged on or paid a bill in 10 years.

I love her doing it. I hate dealing with all that stuff. We discuss medium and big issue stuff of course.

I get my $450/month golf allowance. All I need.

We budget everything and my wife puts expenses into our budget app as they’re incurred. Easy peasy.

When I was working, my wife took care of it and did pretty well. When I retired, she retired from that part of it. I don't mind it and I can be a more hands on with investments.

Wife stays at home with the kids, and pays the monthly bills. I work. She handles the “micro” finances (paying recurring bills, random bills like hospital bills). I handle the “macro” finances (investments, general budgets). We have a conversation about any single purchase over $150 bucks or so. Not a total grocery bill of that amount, but a single item. It works for us

My wife, I hate to see how fast my money disappears...
