It's final episode was the year before Robotech's first. They are not related, just for time framing purposes.

Ah, Space Battleship Yamato. Never seen it but know about it.

At least they put the Yamato to use, unlike the real Japanese.

Starblazers.....it was a really good serial cartoon. You can still see a lot of it on youtube.

Star Blazers, the English version of a show called Space Battleship Yamato. It's really good, one of the first space operas I saw. The theme music is catchy as frick too
