It’s ridiculous that between big tech, various social media companies big & small, and porn that a solution hasn’t been created that keeps things anonymous, secure, and private (relative to everything else online). They haven’t pushed this because it hurts their business including social media targeting kids/young teens with marketing and so on (they know to a strong likelihood what profiles are likely below 18 years of age regardless of what the user states). Somehow this is one technology standard or change that Porn cannot seem to push…

Even modifying and using something already existing like Private Relay with proxies using masque, OHTTP, and/or ODoH where multiple companies/servers handle different parts of the data sent back & forth. Along with other privacy and security safeguards making it where the company confirming age doesn’t know what company/app/website is requesting the verification with response being an accepted form of confirmation or authentication code without any personal info sent. Maybe include the one actually verifying being an adult only knows that about the user and no other private data.

Regardless it would be surprising if anyone going to porn sites was doing so without hiding already hiding IP address including using a VPN already (especially for home internet). Unless sites have to block known VPN servers it seems like these users wouldn’t be affected.
