This weekend somewhat gave me an epiphany. Why did I get so worked up about 1 dumb game.... and yes i have no idea. Thats why i say a change would help. Romans focused and planned their time based on games. We are doing the same. The whole time their leaders were figuring out ways to take advantage of them.

Think we for a majority do the same? Are you religious? Dont you choose which mass or service to attend based off when the saints or LSU plays? If not dont you choose what to do based around things on TV or Gym time? I catch myself choosing when I can play golf. Not trying to get political but there are more important things to care about and i say that based on the history of the romans. Im struggling to agree with myself too.

Anyways.... this will be the responses. WTF... wtf gifs? Didnt read. GFYS. Stay off the devils lettuce. etc... Good luck.

No, the entire world revolves around LSU football.

It's liberating to skip a whole weekend of football when your teams are playing. Go into the woods on Friday and don't come out till Sunday evening. Don't check the scores till Monday.

I understand what you mean. During football season, my whole schedule changes. On Saturday I wake up at 8:40AM at the latest, do whatever I have to do while game day is on and by 11AM, if I am not going to the game, I pretty much follow football all day.

On Sunday the latest I will sleep is 9:30AM, do whatever while countdown is own, make sure my fantasy lineups are in order and then when the games start at 12 it becomes a text fest. I play in 3 money leagues and there are several of my friends who are in all three leagues so we are texting like teenage girls. Its gets out of hand sometimes.. There are certain people I mostly only communicate with during football season. I do not attend weddings during football season, but he last few years, at times I ask myself WTF am I doing?

I enjoy football, I am passionate about LSU and the Saints, but sometimes it just seems like its a little silly how much I put into the games..

When I was younger, the results of sporting events were much more important to me.

Now, I take them for what they're worth--entertainment. I'll watch LSU almost always, but I refuse to let their defeats ruin my whole weekend.

I hear ya...I simply don't give a freak about most football games anymore. Too much other things to worry about. And one of my buds last year had himself and his entire family all pumped up for the Alabama/Clemson game only to not make it to the game (they took his brothers RV) as they broke down in Texas. They spent $650 per ticket, and about $4,500 in travel costs before they broke down. I mean he went from a bubbly happy enthusiastic guy to acting like the world was gonna chew him up at any moment and he had no reason to live... Then again that does explain a typical Bama fan! After seeing that, no way will I let football games become that important in my life. I love me Ducks, but if they lose I'm not gonna go to the top of the Battle House Tower or the Dolly Parton Bridge and take a leap.

I'm still shitting lava as a result of the trip to Green Bay. So yes, a change would be nice right about now.

After 1/9/12 I promised myself I'd never give a shite again. I wanna see my team win and I'll root for them and buy tickets and tailgate, but I'll never get worked up over it again. There's way too many other cool things to enjoy than that.

Sucks that Les didn't change the offense. I'm mad about it but frick it. I can't control it.
