Oh you mean tax cuts for 80% of America?
Corporate tax cuts spurring capital spending?
Regulation cuts allowing business to flourish?
All while facing endless, baseless investigations over nothing.
Obama was a joke.
We got a "stimulus" that funneled money to political cronies.
Obama fermented racial tensions.
Obama did pass the ACA though.
Which has increased healthcare expenses for working Americans at a faster clip than before.
But, hey at least insurance is now required by law to cover drug rehab and sex changes. While not being forced to pay for breast reconstruction for breast cancer patients.
But yeah. Trump sucks.

That's cute. Being that such catalysts are nowhere near cheap and are almost always rare Earth metals are not scalable to actually do anything on large scale.
It's funny when ppl who have no idea read some shite online and speak as if it's gospel.

Fomented May be the better word For what you are describing here...although I suppose fermented could work in the sense that he brewed them up

I think I have always been big on technology and advancing society.
It's come to a point where if someone is labeled a liberal hippie if they acknowledge that we could be doing more to remove carcinogens or clean up our air.
Moving to green energy is fricking awesome, but people are missing the boat because they think doing so admits defeat to liberals. They have made the issue strictly political rather than thinking and making their own conclusions.
Think of the economy surrounding advancing infrastructure and energy should be being tapped by those wanting to advance it. Instead, there are people, like those in this thread, that think becoming energy independent and improving infrastructure are somehow liberal ideologies because some twit first term Representative proposed this.

Trump touted a 'beautiful new infrastructure plan'
Where is it? He controlled the house and Senate for two years and it never saw the light. Now he thinks negotiating with the other side, who hate him, is going to work?
I get it is taboo to criticize Trump on this board, but right now he appears to have made one of those "I'll close Guantanamo Bay" type statements that Obama had. He made it into office and realized how screwed we are.
Now, we are going to spend at least the next two years not getting anywhere.

Both sides hate his arse. He doesn't jive with their gravy train

The strange thing is that I think he is building an actual middle on the political spectrum.

Fact is the new technology isnt cheap. And why should I pay a shite load more to save the earth while China and India keep polluting the crap out of it
Sorry that's a no for me dawg

Wouldn't be a bad thing.
The left is splitting into 2 groups of thinking imo.
If the right got rid of the old core religious stuff and ease up on a few things, they would dominate
The left buried themself for awhile with the last presidential election.

Quit getting wrapped up in the 'saving the world' part. Take the political part out of it.
Think of it as being cheaper in the long run or even stabilizing energy prices.

Do you know what is actually in the Green New Deal?

Not at all. Needs a leader though.
Fiscally responsible and believes taxes should be paid only by those that use the services.
Socially advanced staying the frick out of personal behavior that doesn't have a direct bearing on others.

Yes, as I stated way back in this thread. It has some good ideas and points in it.
It goes too far alienating the right.
Therefore the right throws out the whole thing rather than grabbing the points the agree with and building.
The left meanwhile digs in their heels and score a win for their constituents by doing absolutely nothing.

We already have CO2 capture devices. They are tall with green leaves and known as trees.
We already have alternative fuels. Biofuels. Sugarcane based ethanol. I realize ethanol isn't a great fuel and leaves gum deposits but it's not a ridiculous proposal.
There is no need to reinvent the wheel here.

I will be greeting AOC as she gets off of her private jet and takes a motorcade to the festivities, then will be there to see her off as she doubles her carbon footprint for a couple hour demtard suckfest.

That's a cop-out.
I'm as Conservative as they come and do everything that is feasible to do right by the Environment.
The problem is that the proposed solutions to many of the "problems" (some of them completely made up) are thinly disguised attempts at money or power grabs.
Many of us Conservatives are hunters and fisherman who were doing our part to keep the forests and lakes healthy LONG before it became "cool" to do so.
