If I thought the regular posters here could have a calm and nuanced conversation about this I would have it but most aren’t so not going to waste my time.

The idea is retarded.

I wrote that in perfect calm with just the right amount of nuance.

Little colored baby up there on a girder, no safety harnesses...OSHA would have a field day.

I guess you don’t need to worry about PPE with the Green New Deal since you’ll be starving to death

Tell me one thing that the government runs efficiently, effectively, and lean. Every government position requires tax income to pay for that salary. The number of private sector jobs that it would take to sustain paying for a third of the new government employees for this idiotic and misguided initiative would not exist even if the entire population of the world were US citizens. Not only is this a bad idea, it's simply unrealistic to a ridiculous degree.

More to it than climate change, but it takes people, on both sides, who open their minds rather than just being against because of who proposed it.

You're wasting your time. Instead of getting over the dreaming aspect of this proposal and supporting things that actually make sense to them, the right is taking their orders from a +70 guy who is hell bent on opposing anything and everything from the left. They throw the baby out with the bathwater instead of taking points from this proposal and creating their own.

Over two years into this presidency and this great infrastructure bill is stil 'being discussed.' What a damn joke.

Depends on the solution.

What if say....harnessing the excess carbon in the air can produce energy?

Basically, you grab the carbon they are emitting and use it to fuel your society, for cheap.

Then, frick em. Smog their shite up. Truth is, they are probably closer to this technology than we are due to their funding. Their funding may be drying up soon though.

As a cis-gendered white male, it would be very immoral for me to go. That would be me using the patriarchy to steal knowledge from of a young colored/trans/gay/queer person that deserves to live their life without the white man ruining it. So no. As much as I would like to, I will not be going.

The goal isn't actually to afford it. Sell this deal to the weak.....absent minded...and once you gain enough support, then take control....you can have a Nazi sort of regime again. Let's just hope that enough people know history and can see a truly bullshite concept for what it is. If anyone actually thinks this "deal" is even slightly possible, classify them as retarded.

Reminds me of the time i was driving for uber in Austin and picking up fares from the airport that were there for the eco conference on sustainability all the while i was wearing my EP Energy tshirt with pic of drill pipe well drilled with drilling rig on the tshirt. They never said anything but judging how my star rating dropped like a rock, i would say it triggered them.

I actually saw a friend sharing info about it on Facebook. Took a lot of restraint for me to not comment on her post.
