It’s a bit weird but I always seem to have more fun on the Eve. The parties and playing Santa Claus when the kid goes to bed. Christmas Day almost feels over at noon.

It’s always been my fave. It’s sort of fading for me w grown kids. Maybe it will come back for me with grands. (Fingers crossed)

I prefer the drinks by the fire after all the formalities are done with.

You need to be that relative that throws the Christmas Eve party. Every family has one. My great aunt and uncles were the ones in my family but that’s been gone ever since they passed away. I’m thinking of being the Eve party thrower in my family starting next year.

I’m usually with you but we just had to put down our 12 year old pup today out of nowhere. Was at the vet for 6 hours. Today has been an absolute shite salad

It's the anticipation. All month (Now before Thxgiving) the Christmas movies are on TV, the Christmas lights are on houses, the Christmas music is on the radio... Then it's over in a flash and on the 26th people start to pack up. I blame it on everyone jumping over Thanksgiving in a rush to get to Christmas and burning out too fast. Really the two weeks leading up to Christmas is a truly magical time.

My maternal grandmother and that whole side always gathered for Christmas Eve seafood gumbo. Made it home after midnight to put toys together for years. Great memories.

Merry Christmas!??

Enjoy it more than Christmas Day. Have a nice Christmas Eve breakfast, go to church in the afternoon, then drinks, food, and open gifts. Christmas Eve night has been a long family tradition.

Always have, especially before my kids were grown and out of the house. Everything after noon on Christmas Day seems anti-climactic

I put the tree up on December 1st and I take the tree down on January 2nd. Thanksgiving doesn’t get rolled over by this guy.
