People looking to be influenced. There's a lot of people that want to be a follower. They want to know what's cool or trendy, so they can be a part of it. So yes, mostly young people and women.

It’s the people that will never work at something to achieve anything.

Those are the ones that get “influenced”

The truth is, everyone. Whether it is your favorite YouTube woodworker, gun reviewer, DIY home fixer-upper, "tool reviewer", gym bro, baseball guru, adventurer, traveler, camper, hiker......

They all get paid by companies to hawk their wares to people who watch them. I'd wager most everyone has been "influenced" by one of them at some point.

My 72 year old dad for one. Stopped by their house last week and he's wearing a hoovies garage tshirt. I just shook my head and didn't say a thing.

Jordan made an entire billion dollar brand off of influencing mostly young boys and men. why are we acting like this is something new?

There is some tattooed dude that posts a lot of shorts of him building off grid somewhere in the desert. I’m guessing he gets brand deals and things like that. I enjoy watching him. I’ve never purchased anything that he has an affiliation with, but I suppose if he put me onto something that I felt like I needed then I would look into it. Not sure if that makes me weak but whatever.

If it’s a young woman saying they’re an “influencer” or “content creator”, I automatically assume they’re a whore on OnlyFans

It isn't an issue of being weak. Modern online/social media advertising is no different than seeing primetime commercials 20+ years ago and being "influenced" to try a new pizza, or go with a set of Michelin tires. Companies are just putting their ad budget into a different medium. They aren't reinventing the wheel.

Everyone is influenced by someone or something. Marketing wouldn’t be a thing otherwise. The dumb social media types are just so obvious.

My sister in law and nieces (no pics) fit this description to the letter. If it's cool or trendy, they will be first in line.

I get this. My comment was more so directed at the first few calling people weak. The funny thing is most of them were probably rocking some duck commander gear when those bearded baws from Monroe were all over A&E.
