My Dad was mine. I pray that I’ve turned out to be half the man he was. We lost him in 1995 and I miss him so much even 31 years later.

My grandfather.
He was an excellent role model.
Loved him more than I did my parents.

My uncle.
The most genuinely kind person you’ve ever met. Truly wants the best for everyone.
Born dirt-floor poor. Green Beret, lover of art and poetry. Got out of the army and started pushing a broom at a local gas plant. 30 years later he retired as the VP of Operations for Mesa Petroleum (T Boone Pickens).

OP, your role models ... well, let's just say have a downvote, because my role models (parents) taught me to withhold judgment.

Never have been one to worship celebrity, "success" or winning, but the person who comes to mind as someone I admire is Steve Gleason.

I don't have role models. I very firmly believe people do not learn unless there is negative feedback. My role models are learning from the mistakes others make, I dont emulate anyone.

Ronald Reagan: There is a reason there are statues of him all across Eastern Europe. His presidency was the last time this country was truly united accept for very brief periods during the Gulf War and after 9/11.

R. A. 'Bob' Hoover: A Tennessee boy, fighter pilot, former POW, and the best damn stck and rudder pilot to ever sit in an airplane.

The original Mercury, Gemeni, and Apollo astronauts: Men of high intelligence, accomplishment, and balls of steel.

Frank Borman took care of his Alzheimer's afflicted wife until he just couldn't manage by himself. He then visited her in the memory care facility every single day for the rest of her life.

1) My Dad. One of about 3 "real" men I've ever known. And I'm not the only one that would tell you that. Definitely cut from a different cloth.

2) My first High School football coach. After helping him get into his locked car to get his keys he told 3 of us youngsters some life advice.
He says: "One of the most important things in life is time. Its always moving forward and it stops for no one."

Now that I am older i can't tell you how true that is!

Yeah, who could possibly want to emulate Trump? The guy who is a billionaire, built a very successful business, helps people (and doesn’t advertise it and ask for credit), a non politician who became President on his first try, was targeted by every Democrat to frame him and put him in jail, lost a stolen election, and then still persevered and became President..AGAIN! What a loser!

But then again, I’ll bet you believe everything Rachel Maddow and The ladies on The View say about him. You truly live up to your name. Maybe consider changing it to Loser.
