If breaking things or causing problems with other kids do you still let it go? If putting themselves or other kids in danger by ignoring safety rules do you still let it go? If poor swimmers do you just let it go? If a kid is being offensive or racist in the pool area in front of everyone do you just let it go?

No to all of this.

This lady went way beyond that, but the view to just let it go when a kid is breaking rules or for their own safety is pretty ridiculous.

I just meant from her standpoint. A late middle aged woman can't be expected to act as a bouncer.

If the cops won't respond, then what about private security? They need people who can easily grab the kids and escort them off property. The slaps and the the drink throwing is what got her in trouble it seems.

If there's no private security or police (people trained to deal with this), then I don't know what she can do about kids that young.

What do you think the appropriate response to trespassers is?

At an apartment complex pool? When the trespassers are two tiny arse kids aged 11 and 9? I'd walk them over to the exit like a normal person.

quote:

Kindly ask them to leave?

Yes tell them to leave. Again, we are talking about elementary school kids.

quote:

Hide in fear while you hope the police show up in time?

Why the frick are you scared of two elementary school kids? What kind of scared arse bitch needs a gun to confront kids that can't even see a PG 13 movie on their own?

quote:

In this case, should we just wait around and hope these kids don't drown and their parents don't hold us liable for that?

No, you escort them out. Simple as that. What a fricking coward you are to think you need a gun for that. Holy shite you have the guts of a little tiny field mouse.

quote:

Clearly, there is a contingent among us who don't think physically removing them by force is the answer, so what is?

No there is a contingent that think slapping a kid, pouring a drink on him, and yanking a little girl by the hair are wrong. Are you really that fricking pathetic that you can't handle an 11 year old and 9 year old w/o using violence? Really?

quote:

If someone is bold enough to trespass on my property, how am I supposed to know what else they might do? Clairvoyance?

ITS A 9 YEAR OLD AND 11 YEAR OLD AT A POOL. You shouldn't even own a gun if you are this big of a bitch. shite, it wasn't even that lady's property. She was just the property manager. You really think its acceptable to point a gun at two tiny elementary school kids who are trying to swim in a pool at a mediocre apartment complex? Holy frick you're a sad arse clown.

Our neighborhood pool has a lock on it and only the members have a key. Seems pretty simple to avoid things like this.

Nope. It helps some, but doesn't eliminate the problem. Our neighborhood pool has a locked card key operated gate, and is completely enclosed with chain link fence. Adults and teenagers still occasionally climb the fence, then let their buddies in the front gate. You can call the police, but they really can't do much. If you kick up too much sand, the trespassers can just come back later, and vandalize the pool after hours. Or vandalize members cars that are parked outside the fence. Civilization depends on having people who are civilized, society breaks down when people refuse to follow basic rules of decency.

I mean, thats what kids do. There used to be pool that was for an organization and during the summer members kids used to get in free otherwise you had to pay. Kids used to sneak in so much the lifeguards just stopped checking to see if kids paid.

If a kid was acting an arse, they would check to see if they were a member's kid then kick them out. One time I remember the lifeguard wanted to check someone because they were acting up, kid took off running and the lifeguard (usually a teenager who was a member's kid) chased him around. He went around this building that was close by and he waited for her to walk back by the pool and he ran, pushed her in and left. She flipped out.. Anyway, after that she made sure he never slipped through the cracks. Dude used to stand outside by the fence watching everyone.

That woman showed she doesn't know how to handle situations like that.

You're the one saying we should just let them do whatever they want. Not me.

Don't know. Would it be different if she were a paid security guard? These kids clearly weren't even going to leave when she poured things on them and dragged them by the hair, so...what's the answer? Surely you have one, right? Clearly, "escort them out" didn't work.

It seems like when society and community and family don't deal with the upstream causes, they force someone else to deal with the downstream effects.

We're the kids hurt or harmed by the lady?

According to the link this was done and they were still there.

So who should be tasked with physically removing them since they declined to respond to verbal directions?

I can only imagine how truly nasty a community pool must be these days.

I think I'll pass on all the urine and e coli thank you.

Lady is a dumbass. If the kids aren't bothering anyone, let them swim. She had to know what would come of spraying a damn drink in the boy's face. Idiot.

White women are increasingly unable to regulate their emotions. Very similar to what we see with young black people, but just substituting insufferableness for criminality. Contentiousness and unfathomable self-obsession and a desire that every living thing stop what they are doing and listen to Karen Shriek about how wounded she is that a rule has been broken is their raison d'être. They LOVE being outraged and they water their grievance-garden like a man performs his job, -with a keen eye for detail. Their ever-growing grievance list is the proof they have that they are alive. Kids in the pool again, OMG! Lets shame and assault the kids! They are never more than 15 seconds away from dissolving into a puddle of old white woman emotional panic.

With them, every small thing is a major problem that requires everyone stop the world and devote endless time and reflection to this minor problem. Really, they should stay in the fricking kitchen if they can't pass a basic psych test. Virtually any man could resolve this with a smile and a conversation and maybe a couple of candy bars. I did with the black kid that commandeered my trampoline when I went to work every day 15 years ago. It took a few discussions and I felt like a dick, but I was able to get the message across, and really just was pulling for the kid who I eventually allowed to use my trampoline under my supervision. But many white women in 2023 never step outside of their head for 15 seconds to analyze the utter insanity of their actions and words. They walk around in a total state of inner turmoil mixed with absolute self-righteousness looking for things and people who violate their precious sensibilities and then they wonder why their lives are solitary and small. IMHO, they are a scourge and to be avoided at all costs.

FTR, we EXPECT kids to break rules. And when their parents are primitives that DNGASF, it falls on us to correct them. If that fails, we take extra security measures and call the police as a last resort. At no point do we assault little children. Ever. Even if they are being little annoying shits.

She has probably called the cops multiple times and been told the can write a report or never show. NOLA police don't even respond to trespassing or simple shite like that. Eventually you have to take matters into your own hands. This is the defund police country that we live in nowadays. The direction of "progress" must be backwards because it's headed back to the Wild West.

Of course they want to protest because she is white but they won’t protest when they kill each other.

What are they trying to get out of the protest? The manager was fired and charges were filed with the police; what more do they want from the apartment complex? Free access for life?
