White man calls police on black people using same gym in office bldg; loses his own lease

The video shows Mr Austin asking them whether they are based in the building, to which the men respond “we’re all tenants in the building”.
Mr Austin continues to challenge them and asks: “What office? What office are you in?”
“So we have an office here and this guy came accusing us [saying] we can’t be here”, says one black man to the camera.
Mr Austin then appears to phone 911, whilst a black man comments: “As you guys can see we’re dealing with racism here”.

In an email to Newsweek, Mr Austin wrote on Wednesday that criticism was “b******t” but he should have acted “differently”.
He added that his actions were “regardless of race” because the group was “threatening” and it was building policy to ensure tenants only had access to amenities.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported on Wednesday that Mr Austin’s lease at the co-working space had been terminated following the encounter.

So are they actually tenants? Or was this all a setup? I’ve yet to see an article confirming they were tenants.

The black people were entrepreneurs who had been tenants in the building for more than a year. You can spend your own time looking for the information, or you can choose to believe it was a setup like most politards do anyway.

What happens if the building you are in actually doesn’t have black folks working there and a black folk is in the building?
I would probably wonder what was going on.

Asking a question or questions is not the same as making accusing statements.
Sensitive people need to get over it. A question is not always an accusation.

I just looked it up. He was complaining Bc apparently the guy was letting his friends use the gym, too. That said, I’d probably let my friends use the gym, too, if I were there.

The guys weren’t using their own key fobs. They were all sharing one. My Anytime Fitness is the same way. You can’t hold the door open and let in multiple people in at once whether they are members or not. Each person has to scan their own key fob. If you don’t scan your own, you aren’t allowed in the gym. Not that hard to understand.

They weren't tenants. They were friends of another tenant who was letting them in to use the gym. They were violating the building rules by letting the individuals in.
