There are a couple videos floating around of African American men dressing up as the “white chicks” guys from the movie.

LINK

Why is it okay for them to do white face but as soon as anyone does black face they are hit with serious consequences. It seems to be a little bit of a double standard and rascist

Because they are told to be offended and are too weak minded to not listen. Either way, I don't care if it is done or not. Some very weak people in this country to let stuff like that bother them.

Didn't you say in your other thread that you're a history buff?

I can't think of a time I've ever been offended.

Huge history buff. Like I said in the other thread I did black face portraying Fredrick Douglas last year for Halloween. I’m not afraid of the hive mind. Just wondering if anyone else noticed the double standard

Because it is funny and we have a sense of humor and others do not.

So, what were the serious consequences you were hit with?

it's a tad more complicated than that. you see, there were these things called minstrel shows that lasted for over 100 years.

None because I don’t hang out with anyone who’d find offense to it but all it takes is one person to take a picture and post to social media and my life would be ruined

Ah yes, the old can't get over the past thing. Yeah, none of us were around for that. Like I said, weak minded.

Okay, with that, if the intent is just for fun, why does it matter. Why do people have to cause such an uproar over it. Think of it this way, should nurses get upset when someone dresses up as a nurse? A doctor? A cowboy? you get my drift? People that did the minstrel shows back then were morons, period. If you keep living in the past, you will never succeed.
