Burden of proof is now on them to show that it wasn’t DEI based.
“Culture of noncompliance”.
My bet is depending on what state you’re in they would at least make a settlement offer, but going back to work there would be tough so it might depend on how much you like your current role.

You can't just take a word, misapply it, and then own it as if you're using it correctly.
DEI is only racist to dense, low intelligence people that do not believe history matters in any discussion. When taken into full consideration, you're basically just saying the past doesn't matter.
Would the bank feel that way about your credit score? The Judge about your criminal history?

They hate DEI because it just slightly takes the advantage that they've always had: friends and buddies hiring them and promoting them solely through the good old boys network.
Now they actually have to work a little harder because those that didn't benefit from that are just as talented or more talented than them and they know it. And it makes them feel very insecure that people that can go through all those hardships can still be 30x better than them or just as good. Deep down they know it. And it scares the bejeezus out of them.
