They had bought then for us when we were little tots. They paid so much a month or something and they sat in a nice oak rack. My brother and I wrote many a book report out of them.

We had a complete set (1976 I believe) and even got the yearly update books for several years.
We weren't fancy enough to have Encyclopedia Brittanica.

Reading about British history and different corners of the British Empire in Britannica is always fascinating.
I remember watching Braveheart as a kid and then looking up William Wallace and it was interesting to see how they looked at him.

We had a Britannica book set when I was a kid, but then for some reason got both a digital set of World Book and Encarta on CD. I remember hating World Book because the Encarta digital encyclopedia seemed a lot better.

American Educator. Got a yearbook for 10 years after we ordered, summing up each year in politics, sports, notable deaths, etc.
