Which teacher did you like the most in high school?

I was lucky and had a few that were both good at challenging students while also being approachable and seemed to care.
Sanders for English and Coco for Math come to mind.

Mr. Cox, Mrs. Hymen, and Mr. Wang to name a few. Mrs. Areola and Mrs. Colon weren’t far behind.

Father Fitzgerald for Latin I in 8th grade. He was a great man. Ridiculously intelligent. Thoughtful and considerate far beyond what was required. And he had this really strange off color sense of humor that was right up my alley, and he used it to engage the students to become invested in an otherwise dry subject. Miss the man. The world was better for having him.

Patout at CHS. She taught calculus and was one of the best teachers I had regardless of level (HS, Bachelors, or Masters).

Mr. Henrick - Geometry. Had a part of his tongue removed due to cancer, but taught himself how to speak again and taught way past when most retire because he loved it so much. Was one of the only classes that students policed themselves more than the teacher because he was too nice to do anything, and 99% of us didn't want the few JAs to hurt his feelings.

Geometry sophomore year. She was 25. We were 15. She wore low cut blouses to an all boys catholic school (St.Pauls class of 2005, in case any other posters remember her). You do the math.

Head football coach. There were times when I hated it but I wouldn't have traded the experience for all the truck nuts in Geismar.
