Agree with Wisconsin. Wisconsin and Louisiana are two states best experienced on the water. The Lake District of Wisconsin in the summer is the tits.

Honest answer? And it isn't too north, but West Virginia.

West Virginia and Louisiana have two massive differences. West Virginia is one of the most beautiful states east of the Mississippi with the mountains, and the demographics are just slightly ( ) different.

First one that popped into my head was Wisconsin. Actually have a lot in common with Louisiana culture wise. It's kinda funny when you think about it.

Having lived in both I can confidently say it’s Michigan. Detroit and New Orleans are very similar. Canada being right here with easy access gives us a lot of the French culture. Michigan is a hand and Louisiana is a foot. The similarities are there. It’s Michigan.

I would say Pennsylvania, with New Orleans being like Philadelphia. The rest of Pennsylvania hates Philly just like the rest of Louisiana hates NOLA. Trash politics and high crime in the city but also good food (Chessesteaks in Philly being similar to Po-boys in NOLA). Great local support for their respective football teams.

When I went to Philly in 2016 I definitely felt like it was a northern version of New Orleans.

PA.is two different states. Basically split in two by the Alleghenies. Western PA./Pittsburgh is the Midwest

Anybody ever been to Fond du Lac, Wi.?
History of that community is that it was inhabited by mound builder indigenous people who fished and hunted and then by French settlers. Then American settlers.
Everything thereafter is an alcohol-induced blur.
Basically, like La.

Nova Scotia's become so gentrified here lately, nothing but hipsters and yuppies running up real estate costs. It's a real shame....used to be so full of culture before the Acadians got run out.

This picture basically solidifies WVa as the LA of the north.

Yep, bought a flight last minute to the LSU game at Lambeau so had to fly to Milwaukee and drive up and stopped there.
