Delaware is basically Jersey Shore south. Connecticut or New Hampshire, I'd say.

New Haven is poor, but not nearly any city in the South in terms of Danger. Bridgeport was the highest murder rate in the country for a while, so that's bad. Those are about it though for trash in CT. Then you have areas that are rich as frick, and have almost no trash or crime.
Vermont has a lot of PWT, as does Maine. New Hampshire seems to be pretty educated and employed.

Tacoma is making tons of progress. The hilltop is not as bad as it once was. I spent 4 years at JBLM so I'm familiar with the area. I work in Seattle now since graduating LSU last year. There's tons of work here in the tech industry. I had 5 offers close and far above 6 figures before graduation. There's more open positions than bodies to fill them at this point. Taking my boat out on Lake Washington during the summer time here is pure bliss.
