I don’t even understand the point of having a pet turtle. They don’t show affection and loyalty like a dog. With a turtle, you’re pretty much just holding him hostage.

I have seen tortoises cuddle with their owners and one that would cuddle with a dog. They can also be very motivated by petting, especially their legs. I would imagine a turtle could do the same.

Well it's a sandbox for one. The cover is to keep stray cats outside from shitting in it.
