It varies pretty wildly depending.
For turnaround and project welders in TX and La the good ones are making $38 to $42 an hour along with double pay for all overtime

My first full time job was a shipyard welder $9hr. Thought i was rolling in cash.

What’s funny is, as a qc, I bust welds for excessive penetration all the time.

Saw this same sticker on a Yukon XL Denali rolling through Slidell....it covered the entire back glass.
