And what happens if I catch the belt? Your whip will more than likely not be life-threatening.
If it's in your hand I've rendered that hand useless. There are many attacks to go from there, as well as the ability to use it as a garrote. Not arguing it's the best weapon but it would have the greatest melee range and potential.
Hammer is still the best option sans a piercing element on the bat.

not to mention you can throw the hammer, that shite would hurt
What happens if you miss or the blow does not take them out? The threat is still there and now your weapon is gone.

A bat. Did Casino not teach you anything?

I would destroy someone with a bat...from a safer distance

Yeah, the only person I can think of who would destroy anyone with a belt is someone like Jackie Chan, who whoops muhfrickas with a t-shirt.

Tire iron or baseball bat. Tire iron can have similar reach depending on type, and it has more weight for more damage.

We really need pictures to make an accurate assessment.
A wooden ball peen hammer is far less appealing than the one I'm thinking of.

For that reason I'd choose a bat first and hammer second.
I would agree here and add that a weapon should be thought of defensively as well as offensive. A baseball bat is much better to fend off an attacker with a similar or shorter weapon as well as strike with it.

The answer Is the bat and it's not close. None of the other options could be swung with as much speed and force than the bat. None of the other options could be used to effectively block a bat swung at high velocity. The bat could effectively defend against the other options.
Forget stabbing, a person can be stabbed multiple times and keep moving forward. Blunt force trauma if a much more effective way to incapacitate an attacker

If you can't take somebody out with a frickin hammer, you were probably going to die soon from an allergy or some shite.

You'll make them bleed faster with the hammer.

If someone's coming at me with a hammer or tire iron and I have a bat, they are going to get their arm broken before they get close enough to use it.

What's the scenario here?

A bat will frick somebody up. The hammer is a close second.

You swing once and miss and you're gonna get wrecked.
Almost every weapon has limitations.

I have facial scars from two of those!!!
A bat to the eyebrow as a kid playing catcher without a facemask and ripped chin from a belt buckle at a street fight at the Silver Maple Bar in Uptown NOLA in the late 70's!!
