For the right job/situation, I'd live in any of them.

I haven't been to all the cities but based on what I know my list would be Nashville, Charlotte, Chicago, Birmingham, New Orleans.

Nashville.

I am from Middle Tennessee and have quality experience with Nashville.

However, I hate city life and would choose to never live in any of those.

Purely hypothetical if I had no choice.

But New Orleans would have to be significantly better than the rest for me to live there. I'd live in Peoria Iowa for the right price.

All of them. Birmingham would need a super nice raise, but it’s fine.

I had trouble ranking Nola or Birmingham last. I'd lean Birmingham.

You would probably live in Crestline or Mountain Brook if you lived in BHam. Both are charming but you have to go into Bham for nightlife and food.

Currently live in Nashville. Lived in Charlotte for four years.

Chicago? Maybe.

New Orleans and Birmingham are a hard pass.

Everywhere but N.O. It never has been appealing to me.

Nashville

The suburbs are cool. Low crime. Not a ton of food variety from previous experiences, but if I had to I could make it work.

Charlotte
Only been once. Close enough to the beach and is in the center of the mid-south. Not too far away from Atlanta and close enough to Delmarva

quote:

Birmingham
A stone's throw from Atlanta. International airport for travel. The south side of town is okay. If you move to Hoover or Mountain Brook you are in the good. Food is solid. Not a ton to do, but you can get by.

hicago
Never been, but I assume they have some amazing suburbs with lots of food options. Tons to do to keep busy.
