Of the list Nashville or Charlotte. Only because I haven't been to Charlotte and can't properly evaluate them, and I do like Nashville.

I've been to the rest and while there are parts of each that are ok taken as a whole they're shitholes.

I've been to all of these cities multiple times.

I wouldn't classify Chicago as a shithole. Parts of it are very nice and you can easily avoid the high crimes areas. It's too left wing for me and the winters would be brutal though.

Nashville - yes, but would have to be a significant raise. A couple of my good buddies live there and it’s not all that it’s hyped up to be.

Charlotte - definitely. Lived there three years ago and would move back in a heartbeat. Nice city with much to do.

Birmingham - Maybe. Don’t know an awful lot about it.

Chicago - maybe. Awesome city with crime and weather as huge deterrents.

NOLA - Hell to the frick no.

Birmingham

Birmingham is essentially Baton Rouge on an upswing. Revitalization efforts going on throughout the city, but crime and the culcha element remain a big concern. That, plus the high concentration of Gumps living there would make it a no go for me, pretty much regardless of salary.
