Which occupation will win the public adulation title during this crisis?

Facebook has health care workers in front, but truckers and railroad workers are keeping it close. Teachers are trying hard to stay on the public radar, but parents are now wondering if they can educate their offspring using YouTube tutorials. Truckers will win the contest if it comes down to a throwdown at Sonic.

Every one of them is working about 100 hours per week (if you believe Facebook).

The grocery store clerk interacting with hundreds of people per day for minimum wage should be up there.

No love for store workers or restaurant workers?
Really?
However, ican tell you what profession will lose the most: lawyers.
They really are non-essential.

They get to interact with the occasional hot woman. They have received their reward

Are truckers and railroad workers not helping to keep stores stocked?

It's a tie. The grocery store stockers have a miserable schedule. Some of them are working from can until can't.
Nurses are working pretty damned hard too, with no complaints.

And they interact with people like the a-hole grandpa I saw today who berated the guy wiping down carts with sanitizer wipes because there wasn't a hand sanitizer dispenser there, but there was one at the other door that they have closed right now (they were refilling it).

We should be praising the lazy mofos that ride the couch and don't leave the house.
