Transport me back to 1972, let the $2k include travel expenses, and I'll be the one-man crowd at the Pink Floyd concert at Pompeii.

Two of my biggest regrets.
I grew up in Tulsa, OK and had the opportunity to see both the Sex Pistols and The Police at Cain'ss Ballroom in the late seventies. I was 17 - 18 at the time.
The Pistols played only 6 US shows, and they chose Tulsa for one of them.
The Police played there when Roxanne was on the charts.
Woulda / coulda / shoulda.

I’d pay $2000 for Tool if they were great seats in a small venue.
I paid $700 for 5th row for my son and I and it was worth every penny and more.
It was an experience I’ll never forget and I think he won’t either.

concerts are like everything else and cost more than they should.
Only if you are a socialist.
Do you understand the concept of a free market?
If the venue sells out, that means they could have charged an even higher price.

Van Halen, with their original lineup.
If I could enter a time machine and go back to circa 1984, when VH was the biggest rock band in the world, I absolutely would pay pay 2k. However, I would not pay that amount in the post 2000's after DLR's voice was shot.

DLR's voice is the least of our problems in this scenario, since Eddie is dead.

I wouldn't pay $2,000 to see Elvis.

I wouldn’t pay $2000 to see a band if they played in my backyard.

I’d pay 2K to see Widespread Panic if a featured guest like Allman was guaranteed.
