My wife (no pics) drives a Kia Sorento SX Prestige x-Line - top of the line with all the bells and whistles and loves it. My sister drives a Mazda CX-90. they are both excellent vehicles. Both have third rows that fold for greater cargo area. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend either.

Reporting from "Soccer Mom Central"...

If you don't want to be "pedestrian" (i.e. Honda Odyssey or Subaru Outback)...

Hyundai Palisade (or Santa Fe) or Kia Telluride rule these days.

in the luxury class Range Rover, Audi SQ5 or Porsche Cayenne.

AND if you really want to flaunt it, Mercdes G Class. And seeing a few Tesla Cybertrucks riding around these days. God their ugly.

Not the Acura. They have fallen off. Go with anything else.

Just don’t use the Volvo dealership in Baton Rouge. They are horrible. Loved the vehicle but ended up getting another vehicle bc the service was just too bad to continuously have to deal with. Service is a very important factor when considering buying a new car. Lexus has been voted #1 for service year after year.

Good vehicles sure but I was looking for the luxury segment.

The others you mentioned, BMW X3 Acura RDX Lexus NX are all within the same class and price range of the CX-70 and 90. Mazda has stepped up their game a lot in recent years but you are right in that they still arent considered by most as a "luxury" brand. But check out the reviews on them compared to others and you may be surprised. Yea Im a Mazda fan boy but the reason I keep going back to them is the styling and the driving performance.

Volvo's are sneaky good looking vehicles.

Get a used lx570 or landcruiser. Will last decades more than any of those.

We looked at everything as well. Finally settled on the Chrysler Pacifica. Has all the bells and whistles and amazing safety features for much less than the SUVs. Also, the captains chairs are absolutely amazing. Now, can’t even imagine not having sliding doors and captains chairs with stow away seating throughout.

FYI you can spend a lot more on a RR or a Cayenne than you can on a G Class.

However, if you really want to flaunt you get a Bentayga, Uras, or the coup de gras the Purosangue. But almost nothing you mentioned is considered a compact.

When you want a compact SUV with a 715hp V-12 and a car that none of your friends can buy you buy a pony or more precisely a Cavallino Rampante

Just heard about a Grand Cherokee going back under lemon law.

In and out of shop a total of 86 days in 12 months.

Scratch that one off the list !!!

If you can wait a little while, check out the 2025 Toyota Crown Sigma. Looks pretty sweet, and is a hybrid 39nmpg.
