Main difference: one has condos, one has houses. So which one would you move to if you had to?

My cousin just bought a house in MtnBrook and he thinks he's a big shot.

Much, Much less likely to get robbed or shot in Mt. Brook.

Also, hear they have a great community pool

Mtn Brook and Buckhead are completely different. But Congrats to your cousin. Mtn Brook is a fantastic town for a family.

Depends on what you want in life. Upper middle class suburban area to raise your family with great schools, etc. Mt Brook
Somewhat more urban living with more entertainment options and access to a better airport to get you anywhere you want to go with a direct flight. Buckhead

Mountain Brook is its own municipality.
Isn't Buckhead tied to the City of Atlanta?

I had a relative leave San Antonio to move to Buckhead for a great job & high rise condo lifestyle 2 years ago. He sent us videos of the community doing donuts in the street down below at all hours of the night. Crime is out of control there. He & his wife have already moved back to San Antonio.

Old money vs new money. Mtn Brook isn’t worried about access to direct flights when you have access to pilots.

Pretentiousness aside, Mountain Brook is really a best of both worlds that is tough to get in Atlanta.

It’s not cookie cutter like the majority of the ATL burbs that have great public schools and you don’t have to shell out 5-6 figures a year for private school like a Buckhead resident would.
