It's obviously a religious figure like Jesus or Muhammad. But taking them out of the equation, it has to be Johannes Gutenberg. He invented the movable type printing press which has impacted history more than anything else. It was critical for the spread of knowledge since it allowed information to be widely transmitted to the masses through print. The printing press changed everything because there's no way the Renaissance, Protestant Reformation and Scientific Age would have developed the way it did through word of mouth.

Watson and Crick (sp?. Technically its 2 people but but I think we will have numerous advances (cures to cancer, neural regeneration etc) thanks to their discoveries.

He is only credited with inventing it because he printed Bibles, the Asians were doing the same thing hundreds of years before according to many.

It would be hard if not impossible to pin one single person as the biggest impact on history but as a people it is easy to say the Romans.

No, Jesus and Christianity are only what they are because of Constantinople, the spread of the church was due to a Roman emperor not the idea that Christianity or the divinity of Jesus would somehow shape the world.

Yeah but it's not because, you know, Jesus. Again, your statements are supporting that it's jesus. The roman emperor spread the "church" that was based on "Jesus".
