That wasn't a pseudonym. Cassius Clay legally changed his name to Muhammad Ali.

Evel Knievel and its not even close. Fit his act perfectly and built his entire persona on it. Robert Craig Knievel would never have been famous.

William Neal Browder, known as TG Sheppard. He’s also known as Brian Stacy.
Ran away from home at 15, as to get into the music industry. Worked at RCA records, got to be good friends with Elvis.
Recorded a song, “Devil in the Bottle.”
That’s when he used the Sheppard name. Elvis found out, asked why he didn’t use his real name? He was afraid RCA would fire him, Elvis said, “I am RCA records, they will never fire you!”
He wrote a song, I want to be like Elvis.
I met TG up in Arlington, Tx, right before the 2018 LSU season, we were playing Miami. I saw a sign out front about TG playing that night. Got a front row seat, a backstage pass to meet TG. When he found out I was from S. La., all he wanted to talk about was Troy Landry and the Swamp People.

Not sure it was true but the story was that L. B.'s discharge papers listed him as Lonly Bonly. When he was drafted it was L(only) B(only) XXXX.

You know I got a million stories.
Had dinner Friday night with friends here in Texas. One of the guys at the table, coached Brett Farve in college. The other guy, his brother had a famous couple name their son after him.
In 1990, Kathie Lee and Frank Gifford were fixing to have their first child, they had a girls name, Cassidy picked out. Still trying to decide on a boys name. Frank was doing a Football game on TV, one of the players got injured during the game. The player Cody Risien. Cody played at A&M. Kathie Lee heard the name, told Frank, an they use it. A couple years later, they had a daughter, named her Cassidy.
Years later, they found out, the two Cody’s celebrated their birthdays on the same day, March 22nd. They also found out, Cody Risien’s youngest daughter is named Cassidy. With the name Cassidy, it can be spelled a number of ways, but both girls, are spelled the same!
