I watched the office for the first time about 4 years ago. within a year I had seen every episode twice. I watch very little tv normally.

funniest show ever made, imo

Despite being a caricature, Ron Swanson is my political spiritual animal. I’d follow that man to battle.

Depends on my business. Ron is the kind of no bullshite boss that can get things done. But Michael, if you don’t pay attention, is sneaky good at his job in sales

Swanson. We would get along great. Both like woodworking and eating bacon and eggs

“I once worked with a guy for three years and never learned his name. Best friend I ever had. We still never talk sometimes.”

- Ron Swanson

I would much rather this than a boss that begs to hang out outside of work.

Probably don’t get paid much at either job, but I’d take the government job with Ron Swanson. 40 hours a week and you get off on random holidays like Columbus and Presidents’ Day.

My current boss (owners son) is the real life version of Michael Scott and let me tell you there is nothing fun about it

In the same vein, I worked with a real life Sheldon. Brilliant dude. Graduated at 16 as valedictorian, went to Tech and graduated from with a 4.0 in 3 years but 0 social awareness. Just completely convinced he was the superior intellect in every situation.

He was so bad I eventually left the job in part due to him.

My next job would occasionally run into him and I would ask my new coworkers what was the first thing they thought of him and every single time they said “an unfunny Sheldon.”

No doubt. Give me the government job over working for a paper company any day of the week.

Ron Swanson, AINEC.

Michael Scott is a terrible boss, and an even worse human being. Jim asked Michael Scott to put him up for regional branch manager positions, and not only did he never do that, he went out of his way to cock block Jim by speaking to David Wallace. That’s just one example out of thousands.

Yeah, but at one time while all the other branches were losing money, his branch was actually making money.

A Michael Scott boss would be too annoying and cringe to work with on a daily basis

Because Dwight is a goddamn glorious human beast, and can sell like a motherfricker. All the sales were made despite Michael Scott’s many attempts to frick up their work days.
