I can tell you from experience that current and past Coca-Cola North America CEO's are as liberal as they come and they don't give a damn about what Trump thinks.

It's very doubtful that it will sold in 12oz and 20oz packages any time soon and since they have such a large market share already they may choose to wait Trump out.

If you live in the right places, Coke that is Kosher for Passover will have a yellow top and is also made with real sugar.

Millions and millions of people, around the world, drinking the shite out of it and not getting near as fat or near as unhealthy as Americans could point to yes, it is not as unhealthy.

Are people around the world really doing so? Sounds made up. Since people in this thread are calling it “Mexican coke” check out the obesity rates in Mexico.

Consuming Coke (or soft drinks in general)? Yes. Mexico is the highest per capita consumption but many middle- to lower-tier contries are increasing consumption while the US and other Western countries have seen an overall decline.

Now put that together with the rest of the assertion.

Well he's right if just considering pure obesity rates. People in poorer countries simply don't consume the same level of calories. Drinking soft drinks isn't doing them any good but they also have a whole pile of other diet-related issues to deal with. Food safety isn't a terribly high priority across vast swathes of SEA.

Well. His assertion was that Americans are more obese (probably or potentially) because of HFCS in comparison to cane sugar. You may find that assertion persuasive. I do not.

As far as HFCS in soft drinks, it makes zero nutritional difference. As far as when used in other foods? Who knows, probably not that much compared to a diet of mostly highly processed foods and too much calorie intake vs expenditure. There's also the fact that, in many parts of the world, packaged drinks are safer, cheaper, and more accessible than drinking water. It sucks, but for many it's less of a health penalty to drink Coke than tap water.
