Denver

Of those two, Denver. However, I just spent a week in San Diego and I’d move out there in a heart beat if I was young. I went out there fully expecting to hate it(politics, homeless, crime, etc) but it was phenomenal in that small sample size.

Been to Austin once. It was a shithole.

Denver is underrated
fricking disagree. To answer the question, I’d pick Denver, but it’s one of the more overrated cities in the US, imo.
By way of example, Salt Lake is substantially better, in every category, but without the publicity.

Also to add. There is plenty of snow bunnies out here especially Denver. Lots of talent
And you can buy weed legally.

Austin is the last place on earth I'd love.

I couldn’t live in Denver proper….too big & too much traffic but out in the surrounding areas or Colorado Springs for sure.
The beauty, access to mountain activities & lack of humidity make CO a no brainer. I just came back from a week in Denver area for hospital work & the nights felt like our Louisiana October nights. It get hot their for sure, but 0% humidity helps.
Good Food is lacking though & some CO women are….strange.

Denver. Get those season epic ski passes and a national park yearly membership. Would be pretty great I think.

Never been to Denver but you couldn’t pay me to live in Austin. Bunch of tattooed yuppies who bring their dogs to bars mixed in with guys shooting up heroin on the street.

Denver!
Austin nice but over rated. It shines relative to other TX vapid big cities.

We moved from Austin to Denver in 2020. We moved from Denver to Austin in 2021.
IMO Denver and the Rockies are great to visit, shite to live.

Denver metro is honestly amazing. The people are amazing, the hiking is amazing, state government is pretty reasonable overall. We could never move back to Texas…
Could not be more opposite from this, outside of the hiking part. Happy we live in a free world.

I don't know how Austin is for climate in July compared to Louisiana, probably not much better. I do know that you can sit outside at rooftop locations or other various outside locations and enjoy a nice dinner in the middle of July in Denver, while wearing jeans and not break a sweat. Hard to beat that.
